Social Service Worker

The typical student must be mature, dependable and committed to helping individuals, families, groups and communities in need of assistance and support. Prior work or volunteer experience is helpful, but not essential.

The SSW program is very intensive, involving a great deal of small group work, practice interviews and exercises in self-awareness. Employment opportunities for those with Social Service Worker training are becoming more and more widespread, especially in the private sector.
