What will I learn in the Personal Support Worker program?

The objective of our PSW Course is to equip students with the clinical skills and competence in a variety of clinical and interactive skills necessary for employment in a community or health care setting.

The responsibilities of the Personal Support Worker include assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, household management, meal preparation, ongoing medical conditions and medications, documentation procedures and vital signs.

The PSW diploma program will also help students to be skilled in cognitive impairment and mental health issues, as well as providing optimal support and care planning.

Upon satisfactory completion of the training, graduates are qualified to assume entry-level positions as a Personal Support Worker within the community or a health care facility.
